What Doesn’t Work Then?
But before we get into the right way of marketing I want to emphasize the wrong way of doing it, that most people jump right into, and that’s because most people lead with trying to sell their products, goods and services BEFORE they have even begun to offer real value to their customers, to their audience.
To succeed as the ‘big boys’ do we must approach the sales process differently.
The truth is closer to not really trying to sell anything in your marketing. The intention should be to get your ideal client WANTING to buy directly from you on their own, and that comes about because you have built a relationship with them, either on social media or through your auto emails. Now you can nurture them as loyal customers and recommend real value to them with your affiliate marketing and/or your network marketing (or with whatever you want to sell next).
This Next Part Should be Obvious But In Case It’s Not…
It’s ideal if the value or information you’re providing is related to the topic of marketing — or at least related to the pursuit of opportunity.
At a bare minimum, there needs to be a group of people who appreciate something you’re providing (i.e. helpful information), either on social media or with your automated emails.
But it can’t just be inspiring posts or your occasional declaration of a new personal development insight. That’s not valuable enough. It also can’t be common knowledge or canned. It needs to be substantial and authentic.
If you haven’t been providing real value to a growing group of people, how could you ever expect to see enough sales when you recommend a new opportunity?
“But the System Said I Could Just Advertise or Post About It Online and It Would Build My List and Get Sales on Auto-Pilot…”
Ah yes, it does seem like that would work, right? Why can’t you just promote the system’s lead capture page and let it start sifting and sorting for sales on your behalf? Why doesn’t that work?
The answer is simple…
Those systems do a very poor job of cultivating a relationship on autopilot. And most often, they are too “hyped up” to establish trust with a new relationship, so it only appeals to those who already know the person who is personally recommending it.
If you put enough people through the system it WILL get sign ups. “It’s a numbers game,” you might be thinking.
But can you put enough people through it so it pays enough to make it worth it? More often than not the answer is… No.
Unless you know how to set things up so you’re building a relationship with your new leads through automation FIRST, and then directing them into the system you’re promoting. Now you join the big money earners, but not a moment before you get that part solved.
Sometimes the system ends up doing a really decent job at building a relationship, but with the person who created the system, and not with you…
If this is the situation, you are setting yourself up for failure even if you have short-term success.
Here’s what you’re not seeing…
Most of the money is made on the back-end, which refers to money that’s generated from selling lots of other products, affiliate programmes and/or network marketing opportunities that you choose to promote over a period of time.
It’s actually where MOST of the money is made.
It’s part of a strategy we call Cashflow Optimization that allows you to increase your Average Lead Value (what you earn per lead). It’s an essential part of the Online Success Strategy that you must follow if you’re going to make serious life-changing money.
And it only works if YOU are building the relationship with the list, through automation. And most systems just don’t account for that because it was too hard for them to help you get that part dialed in.

It’s 100% OK if you’re using a system someone else designed and it’s only natural that if they are doing the sales videos, it needs to build a relationship between the system presenter and your leads. In fact, you want that so it increases your commissions.
But It Can’t Stop There!
You must be automating the process of building relationships with those on the list you’re building.
You have to be the one introducing the system and person they will be hearing from.
You have to be providing value in some form over time to your list so they buy more offers from you going forward. That’s how you develop a significant income (multiple income streams on auto-pilot).
This is where you make the big money.
